Some things that I’m into (and no, this isn’t a keyword-stuffing strategy):
Cooking — nothing fancy, but I like to cook from scratch whenever I can. I just made Mark Bittman’s Mock Lattice Pie and I can’t stop eating it. 🙂 I will definitely be blogging about my cooking projects.
Food — it seems like this should be the same category as cooking, but not exactly. I’m very concerned about where my food comes from. I buy grass-fed beef and lamb and local eggs. I also buy organic whenever I can. Actually — I should say that I buy organic when I feel that it matters and it’s not just a marketing ploy.
Computers — especially Apple computers. I’m a huge Mac fan. I’ve been using them since 1986 — no, that’s not a typo. I’ve worked in the IT sector for nearly 20 years and so I’ve had to work with different types of computers, but Apple is my favorite.
Broadway Musicals — if you couldn’t tell that from the title of this post, then you probably aren’t as crazy about Broadway as I am. When you find yourself thinking in show tune lyrics, you know you’ve got it bad.
History — of what? Of just about anything. With the exception of a few guilty pleasures (i.e. soaps and a couple reality shows), most of what I watch or read has to do with history. I finally decided to get serious about it and take a real class. I loved it, so I enrolled in an online university to do a B.A. in History. It’s my second B.A., so the plan was that I would only have to take the major requirements (about 12 classes) to get the degree. I took two and decided it was a little too easy, so I moved up the M.A. program. I’ll take my first class in September.
Well — it’s not everything, but, as the title says, it’s a few. Thanks for reading.
